MentorClone vs Delphi: Which AI Mentor to Use
· MentorClone Team
Delphi and MentorClone both give you an AI version of a real person you can ask for advice. They're built for different people, and that changes almost everything about how they answer.
Delphi is sold to the expert. A coach, author or founder builds their own "Digital Mind" and offers it to their audience. MentorClone is sold to the person asking. You pick someone whose work you already learn from, ask about your situation, and check every point against where they said it.
The short version: if you're an expert who wants your own clone, look at Delphi. If you want advice you can check from someone who has never built a clone of themselves, use MentorClone.
Delphi: the expert builds their own mind
On its pricing page (checked October 2026), Delphi's paid plans are written for the person being cloned: Builder "for professionals and creators" at $79 a month, Scaler "for leaders with growing audiences" at $299, and a custom plan "for celebrities and public figures". It learns from the owner's existing work, can copy their voice from a short audio sample, and promises to "mirror your tone, style, and knowledge."
That's a real strength. The expert is involved, so the clone can be official, and the owner can keep teaching it.
One setup step says a lot about how it answers. Owners "answer a brief round of questions to cover gaps in how your Digital Mind responds." The goal is a mind that always has something to say. We found no claim on Delphi's pricing page that answers link back to the source.
MentorClone: their public work, and only that
Each MentorClone mentor is built from one person's own videos, podcasts and posts. Arvid Kahl, Rob Walling and Marc Lou are live today. They didn't build these mentors and haven't endorsed them, and every mentor page says so. If one of them asks us to take their mentor down, we do it the same day.
You describe where you're stuck and get a straight recommendation. Each point links to where they said it, down to the moment for video. When they never covered your question, the mentor says that and stops. Here's a real answer, unedited, to a question Arvid never talked about:
I haven't covered this in any of my content indexed so far.
That was the whole reply to a question about getting a toddler to sleep. A clone tuned to always answer would have found something to say.

Where each one falls short
MentorClone has the people we've added and checked, all on building a business so far, in English only. The person hasn't approved their mentor, and it only knows what they've published. On Pro and Max you can build a private mentor from someone's public links, but only we publish mentors for everyone. If you want someone added, email hello@mentorclone.ai.
Delphi only has the people who signed up to build a clone. Most of the people you learn from haven't. And a mind that fills its gaps can't show you which parts are the expert and which parts are filler.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is MentorClone a Delphi alternative?
For the person asking, yes. Delphi is a tool for experts to clone themselves. MentorClone gives you a mentor built from one person's public work that links each point to its source and tells you when they never covered something.
Does the person behind a MentorClone mentor approve it?
No. It's built from their public work, and every mentor page says they didn't write it. If they ask us to take it down, we do it the same day.
Can I build a mentor of myself on MentorClone?
Not as a public mentor. On Pro and Max you can build a private mentor from public links for your own use. If you want an official clone of yourself to sell to your audience, a creator tool like Delphi is built for that.
How much does MentorClone cost?
Plans start at $19 a month, and you can try three questions on any mentor page first. See pricing.
