About MentorClone

MentorClone turns any YouTube creator into a personal AI mentor. You paste a channel link, MentorClone extracts the transcripts of the creator's videos (and, optionally, their blog posts), and you can then ask questions in plain language. The AI answers exclusively from what the creator actually said, and every answer links to the exact moment in the source video so you can check it yourself.

Why it exists

The best teachers on the internet publish hundreds of hours of video. Finding the one moment where they explained the thing you need means scrubbing through playlists or trusting a summary that may have made it up. MentorClone makes that back-catalog searchable and answerable, with the source attached to every claim.

How it works under the hood

MentorClone is a retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) product. Transcripts are chunked and embedded into a vector database. When you ask a question, the system retrieves the most relevant passages across the whole channel, then generates an answer constrained to those passages and cites them with timestamps. If the creator never covered a topic, the AI says so instead of guessing.

Who it is for

Students and self-learners following a creator's curriculum, researchers comparing several experts side by side (Roundtable lets you ask multiple creators at once), and anyone who prefers to talk through a topic out loud using voice chat. It works with creators publishing in any language.
